Went to SFMOMA's Artist Gallery for Charles Valoroso's reception. Great show. I hadn't been there in a while so it was nice to see the space again. Saw Terry Acebo Davis there. Coco loved the show too. No that isn't John Locke from LOST behind us. Maria told me I'm on the 2009 schedule, possibly in January. Will let you know.

Luggage Store
Went to SF this past Saturday to check out some art. First stop...Andrea Schwartz...closed. Second stop...the Luggage Store to see Monica Canilao and Swoons massive installation. Here are some picture of the exhibit. Definately worth checking out. The photos don't do justice to the scale of the work. The Swoon link has some great photos of the opening. Alot of peeplz!

Too Cool Mom's!
Before we headed out I took this photo of Heather and Sara with the kids. It was really chilly in Reno with snow thru the pass. We highly recommend having breakfast at Big Ed's in Reno.

Coco meets Mike
Coco gave Nevada artist and UNR professor, Michael Sarich a high five. The next day we went to the Nevada Museum of Art to see Michael's retrospective, Like Love Lust. It was an amazing exhibit that covered Micheal's work from the early 70's to the present. I'm really looking forward to seeing him again when we visit Reno in the future. I was honored that he showed up to my reception. Thanks Michael!!
Reception at Grayspace
Here's a short video from the reception on March 13th at Grayspace. Had a great time and met alot of other artists. Heather and Coco had a great time too.

It's All Gone!
Well these are the last two paintings that left with all the others today when Sara picked them up. Looking forward to the opening in Reno at Grayspace. The group show at La Luz de Jesus in LA (not lower Alabama) opened a few days ago. Reception is tonight, March 7th. Wish we could go down, but daycare for Coco comes first!
The paintings are Black Jack and Nesting (both 18" x 18").
